Messengers Kids
If you are in school years 3 - 6 you are welcome to come at 6pm and will finish at 7pm. You can come in to register from 5.45pm.
Messengers UK
The youth choir is open to young people from year 7 upwards and we rehearse from 7 - 8.30pm. You can come in to register from 6.45pm.
Join us!
If you would like to join the choir, then come along to our workshops which will run until our concerts in early July - details on the events page. EVERYONE is welcome to come and sing in Messengers UK!
Does it run all year?
No, as we mentioned above - the choir meets for a string of workshops and concerts twice a year (but not during school holidays):
1) From March until our gigs during the Adur Festival at the beginning of June
2) From early September running until early December for a second stint of workshops and concerts, and so-on
Who leads the choir?
The choir is led by Julia Daintree and Fiona Eyre. Both are experienced children’s / youth choir directors and both have a huge passion for gospel music. They are just a part of a team of helpers and musicians who will look after you when you come to the church. All have been CRB checked.
Parents
The small hall is open to parents / taxi-services to chill out, read the paper and drink lots of tea, to save their sanity at risk from too many car journeys.
Costs
The weekly fee is £2.00(youth choir) and £1.00(kids' choir) to cover costs - we are a non-profit making community choir run by volunteers!
Don't let the fee put you off, if you are strapped for cash. We want everybody to be able to join, so if you come from a low income family, then just speak to one of the team.
