Messengers Uganda
We are so fortunate to be twinning with Messengers Uganda. They are a choir from Kitettika School and church near to the capital of Uganda, Kampala. They have two choirs. The older choir had students aged 14 and over, and we are so excited that they are coming to perform with us in May! Our hope is that youngsters from both choirs will begin to form friendships, and that some may stay in touch by writing, by live web-links and even by visiting each other via choir trips in the future.
The younger choir is called 'The Little Messengers' and they are aged 8 - 14. This is led by Andrea Kasozi, and they are already excited about getting to know the younger members of our own choir through letters and e-mails. It would be great for the young people from both countries to learn more about each other in this way. We even hope to enjoy and perform some of each others songs - we like a challenge!!!
One of the most exciting aspects of Messengers UK is that we plan to raise funds for the children and their school in Uganda through our performances here in the UK.
